Find Your Zen
At first glance, a Zentangle creation can seem intricate and complicated. But, when you learn how it is done, you realize how simple it is, sort of like learning the secret behind a magic trick. As you practice the Zentangle Method, you discover that not only can you create beautiful art, you also can increase your focus and create a different mood and state of mind.
A Zentangle practice builds on the Zentangle Method of simple deliberate strokes which build on each other in beautiful, mesmerizing and surprising way.
Students developed an emphasis containing a hand drawn symbol that relaxes them. Students can become very stressed about school work, and Zentangle Art is a way for students to relax, take pride in their work, and surprise themselves. I provided resources on how to develop a variety of Zentangle patterns step by step, and helped students one on one with their unique designs. Students were intimidated at first, but developed a sense of accomplishment and pride when they completed the project.
